One of the biggest misconceptions that home buyers have is that you can’t get the design details or products in a manufactured home that you can find in a site built home.
I’m happy to report not only is this a myth, but many new Clayton homes feature colors, products, finishes and floor plans that you could find in homes costing 3 times as much or more! The Lifestylist® List is my way of sharing some of these details with you and letting you discover why your new home should be a Clayton Built® home.
Today’s Lifestylist® List is for bathroom features. Being able to have two or more bathrooms and a master suite that you never want to leave is something that we all dream about.
Here are five of my favorite bathroom details that I’ve found while merchandising model homes:
1. Free Standing Glamour Tubs
The biggest trend we are seeing in bathrooms today is a free standing tub that is a work of art with a separate shower! These are considered a luxury bathroom item in most homes, but they are available in some Clayton models at a very affordable price. Some even come complete with a hand shower.
2. Spa Showers With Dual Shower Heads
We love a luxurious soaking tub, but what we use every day in our home is our spa shower. We are seeing showers in new Clayton models that are so large they don’t need a shower door, and they can even have two shower heads in them!
The rainfall shower heads are also a popular feature that we are seeing, and we’ve heard that we’ll be seeing more of the wall-mounted body jets at upcoming home shows.
3. Master Bathroom Vessel Sinks
The master bathroom Sterling model by SEhomes is one of our affordable favorites. Not only does it offer a separate tub and shower, it also has vessel sinks and two separate vanities with that look like furniture pieces!
We love the faucet design as well, and a special bonus in this bathroom is the window seat.
4. A Cozy Master Bath Fireplace
What a fun detail to have in your new home’s bathroom! These are electric fireplaces, and many of the homes have fireplaces with remotes included. They’re such a romantic detail that’s also affordable.
5. Vanity Drawers
We are huge believers in beautiful, functional design. Many mobile homes that we have toured by other manufacturers are missing an important component - drawers in the vanity.
Think about all of the small items that you want in your bathroom area that are impossible to organize and hard to find if you only have cabinets. We love that the Clayton home building facilities have included drawers in most of their bathrooms.
When you find a home that you love, walk into the master suite and think about what it would be like getting ready in the morning there.
- Is there enough lighting if it’s early morning?
- If you share with a significant other, are there two sinks and vanity areas so that you won’t have to wait your turn?
- Is there enough storage for the items that you use every day?
- Will the countertop areas hold all of the items that you need to be out and ready to use?
If it meets all the requirements, you’ve found the perfect mobile home master bathroom and have your new dream home.
