Inside the Luxury Tiny Home – The Saltbox

We’re proud to offer beautiful tiny homes that provide a luxurious small living option to people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re looking for an energy efficient, small vacation home, a gorgoeous year-round home or a more accessible tiny home floor plan, both of the Designer Series tiny home models are made with quality materials and brand name appliances for you to enjoy for years to come.

The Saltbox model is one of the two beautiful Designer Series tiny home options we’ve designed with architect Jeffrey Dungan and his team. Here’s a room by room look inside the Saltbox model!

The exterior of the Saltbox is designed with premium seam metal and vertical ship lap wood siding. There’s also a covered front porch anchored and supported by steel brackets along with a cozy back porch off the master bedroom. Large windows surround the perimeter of the house letting tons of light into the stunning interior.

Living Room

To enter the home, you walk through beautiful, energy efficient Ply Gem® French doors. These large doors open up to a spacious living room with Ply Gem® casement windows and Oak hardwood flooring.

Part of why this living room feels so open is the tall ceiling which reaches a lofty 11 feet at its highest point. These special touches make the Saltbox a delightful place to come home to each day.

Dining Area and Kitchen

Walk back through the open living room and notice the lower ceiling. The slanted roof pitch adds character to the front room area, but doesn’t drop so low that the kitchen and the dining area feel claustrophobic.

The kitchen boasts a stainless steel Summit Appliance® range, dishwasher and refrigerator, which all have earned the ENERGY STAR® and are specifically designed for small spaces.

There’s also plenty of cabinet space for dishes and food as well as counterspace for prepping food. Did we mention that those countertops are made of quartz? There’s even a little bit of storage space for stashing small items and gadgets above the upper cabinets and the refrigerator.

In the hall, you’ll find more splendid designer touches like the Summit Appliance® combo washer and dryer as well as another cabinet for storage space, a small desk area and another window, which helps light up the area to keep it from feeling small.

The bathroom in this tiny home features lovely subway tiling in the combo bath and shower. And did you notice that this bathroom does indeed have a bathtub? Many tiny homes simply have a shower.

There’s also a small vanity, above the shower storage and a residential toilet instead of a typical tiny living composting toilet.

Head to the back of the Saltbox model and check out the spacious bedroom. Large windows and a door open up to a private back porch where you can enjoy quiet mornings and relaxing sunsets. The ceiling reaches up 9’ 5” and a couple of recessed lights add to the light, open feel.

The bright, cheerful appearance of the Saltbox creates a luxurious and beautiful environment to call home. Each special touch that architect Jeffrey Dungan has included in the design makes the Saltbox the perfect year-round vacation home or a stunning option for homeowners looking to downsize.
