What's Cookin Clayton a Family Shrimp Boil

Shrimp Boil Recipe
Serves 5-10 (depending on how much you buy)
  • 1 - 2 lbs shrimp with the shells still on
  • 4 - 8 ears of corn
  • 2 - 3 sausage links
  • 15-20 red potatoes
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • Sliced Onions (optional)
1. Fill a large pot with water and set to boil
2. Chop sausage into bite size pieces and wash the potatoes
3. When the water has come to a boil, add the spice bag, potatoes and sausage
4. Let it boil for around 30 minutes or until you can pierce the potatoes easily with a fork
5. Stir occasionally
6. Add the corn ears (cut in half) and onions
7. Boil for 5 more minutes.
8. Add shrimp and boil 2-3 minutes longer (most of the shrimp should float to the top)
9. Stir occasionally
10. Drain and serve
Time to Enjoy!
Cover your table in newspapers or a plastic table cover. (If you are worried about protecting your table from heat, place layers of protection underneath the coverings.)

Pour out the food across the table (Yes, you just read that!) and dig in! Plates are optional with your shrimp boil.
And once dinner is over, just roll up the newspaper with the scraps and throw it away.
