If you’re thinking of buying a new home, why not receive a starting gift to start an awesome outdoor space too? Clayton’s Made in the Shade deal gets you up to a $4,000 Lowe’s gift card with the purchase of a new Clayton home.*
Here is how I would spend the $4,000 Lowe’s gift card on an outdoor space for a new home:
1. Decorate With Gorgeous Patio Furniture
I think this outdoor wicker patio set is cute and cozy. I could lounge on the couch for a lazy afternoon, and if I have guests, the foot rests could double as extra seating! Navy is classic and wicker is durable, so I’d definitely splurge on this set.
2. Actually Create a Patio
My current house doesn’t have much of a backyard—it’s just somewhere we park our cars. I would lay down stones to create an outdoor patio area. Lowe’s offers some creative project ideas including patio designs. I’d probably choose a simple stone like countryside concrete patio stone for my new patio.
3. Add a Flaming Fire Table
Whoa. In what world would I normally buy a table that produces fire? Lowe’s gas fire table would definitely be one of my gift card splurges. S’mores nights around this stunning stone feature would get all my family and friends to my house.
And if a fire table's not your style, you can still pick up a new fire pit for outdoor fun.
4. Hang a Hammock
Hammocks became a trending item to purchase while I was in college. “To hammock” even became a verb. I’d install a hammock and “go hammock” in my backyard. Lowe’s even offers stands if you don’t want to hang a hammock from some trees.
5. Build a Planter Bench
As long as dirt doesn’t spill on me, I would love to relax on this cute planter bench. Lowe’s has a complete tutorial for how to build the bench and create the hanging planters!
I would probably plant petunias because they remind me of my mom. And I would definitely create a cute navy cushion for the top of the bench. I would also personalize the planter containers by painting monogrammed initials on the end of each one.
