It’s the time of year to come together with loved ones and have holiday fun. Hosting a party can seem like a daunting task, but with the right activities, it can be a blast for everyone.

Below are a few Christmas activities that adults and kids will both enjoy!

Have an area at your party with fresh baked cookies and decorating supplies. Adults and children will both have fun doing this.

You can use cookie cutters to make the cookies different shapes such as Christmas trees, ornaments, snowflakes, snowmen, gingerbread houses and stars. You can get decorating supplies for your cookies like sprinkles, frosting and candy.

Play Christmas Bingo

Have a White Elephant Gift Exchange

Christmas Kids White Elephant Gift Exchange

If there are enough people coming to the party, have a White Elephant Gift Exchange. Set a maximum value for the gift that each player can bring.

  1. Each player brings a wrapped gift.

  2. Players draw numbers to determine the order that each player chooses a gift.

  3. Players sit around the gifts so everyone is able to see all of the wrapped gifts.

  4. The player who picked the number 1 goes first and so on in number order.

  5. For each turn, a player can either choose a new gift from the remaining wrapped gifts or steal a previous player’s gift. If someone’s gift is stolen, he or she can steal someone else’s gift or pick up a new gift.

  6. Once everyone has a gift, the player who went first gets a chance to swap his or her gift with another opened gift. The person whose gift is stolen can steal from someone else, as long as that person hasn’t been stolen from yet.

Limitations on swapping include:
  • A present can only be stolen once per turn.
  • After three total steals in a turn, the round automatically ends and goes to the next player.

Enjoy these holiday activities with your family and make memories to last a lifetime!
